When JD and I first met Julianne, we knew immediately that we wanted to work with her. She is a sweet girl, and has such a great attitude! She and Justin are a really great couple, so they were really easy to shoot. And hello, they are totally cute, just look at them!
They live in Sugar Land like us, but they were looking for something that was both urban and country at the same time. As you can imagine, that was kind of a challenge, but well, you know us…we like that sort of thing.
So we hit Downtown Houston’s Discovery Green, then walked to the Heritage Society’s Sam Houston Park to get a little bit of rustic stuff in. It seems like every time we go downtown, we end up shooting forever because we just love it so much and we don’t want to leave! But once we got done at the Heritage Society, we all needed a break, and poor Julianne’s feet were dying so it was the perfect excuse to hit our favorite downtown spot, The Flying Saucer, for a beer. Refreshed, we all went back to Sugar Land to do a few quick shots at Oyster Creek Park with their two dogs. Needless to say, it was a long one. I think it was our longest engagement session so far! But we had a great time, and the shots were worth it!
This was a new thing at Discovery Green-a gazebo made of mirrors and license plates! They just have the coolest stuff.
Not pictured: Me, covering my eyes and cringing with fear that they’d actually fall in!
Along the way, we ran into some firemen, and they were nice enough to let us take a few shots on the truck. This one is for Julianne’s brother, who loves fire trucks!
Construction, don’t you love it?
I think JD asked them to do some “smell the fart acting” here in front of the chapel at Sam Houston Park.
Finally, we wrapped things up with their doggies at Oyster Creek Park in Sugar Land.
Julianne and Justin, we hope you had a great time, and that you love your photos! Also, hi Julianne’s mom! I know you have been eagerly awaiting these.
