We got to take photos with sweet baby Caroline and her family. She is absolutely perfect, squishy, and adorable and was a dream to photograph. What a treat!
We had a great time visiting with Caroline and her family. It was especially fun to see how her big brother Jackson is so sweet and caring with her. He’s going to be a great big brother for Caroline! We were so happy with all of the great family photos we were able to capture with her.

We love the Spence family! Melissa and Jason asked us to photograph their vow renewal, and it was important to them (and us!) that we capture a few family photos and portraits of the two of them during this special time in their lives. These little guys kept on our toes with lots of laughs and lots of running! We enjoyed a great sunset and a beautiful loving family. What a blast! First Birthday Photos with the Littlest Royo!
Can you believe it? Travis is already a year old! What a difference a year makes! He has grown so much since his newborn photos and has become even cuter (yes, it’s possible!). He was sleeping for most of our session a year ago, and now he’s sitting up, laughing, and charming the world with his smile. And I can’t resist his adorable curls!
We hardly ever see Travis without a huge grin, and there were many of those as we took his first birthday photos! He loved playing with the soccer ball (like his parents Jennifer and Brian), and thought tying a balloon to his belt loop was hilarious. We so enjoyed crawling around with this fun loving kiddo and capturing him at this super fun age. No surprise, though-it’s always a great time with the Royos!

We got together with Jodi and Bubba to shoot their engagement session in Old Town Spring, but let’s be honest: their two super cute boys completely stole the show. But we somehow managed to get a few engagement photos in there, too. 
We can’t wait for the wedding, I know this one will be fun!

I love springtime. Everything is new, and so is this ridiculously cute family!! The Barrineaus just adopted Bella, and we’re honored that they are our very first Red Thread Sessions clients. We had a great time meeting Amy, Brook, and Bella (who is pretty much the sweetest) and getting to know this brand new family! I asked Amy to share a little bit about how their family came together:
Our exciting adoption journey started ten years ago when we wanted to have a child. We had been trying for a child for a number of years without any success. Adoption always held a special place in our hearts because we have many friends who were adopted into wonderful families. After interviewing a friend of ours, we were pleased to hear about his wonderful experience with The Gladney Center for Adoption and decided to do some research and attend the on campus orientation in Fort Worth, TX. After a lot of prayer we felt that God led us to The Gladney Center at just the right time to meet just the right birthmother. Not long after we had been approved with The Gladney Center, we got a phone call from our caseworker; she excitedly told us that we had been inquired of by a young birthmother. We were so excited to hear she wanted to have a phone conversation with us and meet us face to face. Our birth mother loved our lifestyle. She was very pleased with her decision to place her daughter into our family.
Our relationship with her and her family went off with a bang and has been wonderful ever since. We developed a relationship with her through the end of her pregnancy and had the opportunity to walk with her in the last trimester. We were there on the day that our baby was born; she has been an absolute miracle in our life. God has blessed us with the perfect little girl; she’s so happy, healthy and full of life. Each day with her is a new adventure. We love her so much!!! We are so grateful to our birth family and The Gladney Center for turning us from a couple of 16 years to a family of three. We don’t take a single day for granted and praise God for his favor and blessings.

We are just about ready to wind down for the year, but before we do, I have to share this lovely family! It was so fun hanging out with Shelby, Blake, and Caden, especially because our kids are almost the same age! Caden was such a ham-this kiddo has “cheese” down to an art!
