Ashley and Jason: The Bridal Session

You may remember Ashley and Jason from their engagement session a few months ago. Well, they just got married on July 26, so I figured it’s safe now to share some of our favorite images from Ashley’s bridal session.

We did the session at Safari Texas Ranch, where Ashley and Jason had their reception. It’s a popular spot for Sugar Land brides. We’ve done two weddings there this year, and have at least one more there before the year is through!

Ashley was a trooper-it was a hot day, and we had to meet in the heat of the day around 10 AM because of Safari’s availability. We were all sweating, but poor Ashley was the one in a big poofy dress! I lent her one of the fans that we had left over from our wedding. This is my favorite image from the session.

Ashley’s wedding colors were pink and black, so I snagged a gorgeous pink hibiscus from a bush (sorry, Safari!) for this shot.

JD remembered that Safari has a mini-golf course, and was wise enough to bring a putter and golf ball. We found out at the session that Jason loves golf, so of course we had to do this!

Safari also has a few peacocks roaming the grounds. We wanted to get a shot of Ashley with a peacock, but this one did not want to cooperate! You should have seen it-me, Jason’s mom, and Ashley’s mom, all trying to herd a pretty irritated peacock over near Ashley and JD. This is as good as we got.

JD found a rustic storage shed that he fell in love with and took some dramatic shots. I really like how these came out.

Stay tuned to see our photos from the wedding! It was a wonderful, beautiful day, and we introduced a props box to the photobooth. Hilarity definitely ensued, and I can’t wait to share our images!
